Gerard Charvet
La Réserve d'Amélie Beaujolais-Villages Chardonnay
Well it has been a good run, but finally we're at the end of older Beaujolais Blanc in our cellar. This particular bottle seems to be better than most priors...
Nose has lemon peel, oxidized yellow apple, hay, moist sand, wet flint and dehydrated pineapple.
Palate has ripe yellow apple, ripe pear, (light) honey, essence of strawberry, faint green herbs, fading acidity with medium finish.
It's been a great wine run with Charvet. I'd highly suggest seeking Beaujolais Blanc's and cellar them for short-medium term enjoyment.

This Beaujolais Blanc is doing just fine today. I always appreciate a minor red fruit note sneaking into the aroma from the glass. Last bottle on this vintage, decanted 60m
Prior notes apply:
Nose has freshly peeled yellow apple, wet strawberries, cut green apple, moist chalk and distant mown hay field.
Palate has warmed yellow apple, minor metallic notes, warm yellow cherry, lemon peel and faint vanilla creme on the long finish, medium acidity.

This seems to be drinking well, could hold remaining bottles until 2023-25.

A decidedly lower key night, after some extensive tasting yesterday.
Nose has neutral oak, slightly oxidized yellow apple and flint dust on lemon.
Palate has ripe yellow apples, fading acidity, light creamy oak, light green herbs and lemon pith.
Likely on the back side of enjoyment for this one, or bottle variation is working at me again here, we've seen that up/down on this case over the years. Reasonable for today though.

Checking in on this bottle tonight, and also using some to poach Halibut in the oven, yum!
A light flinty, mineral nose, light creamy oak notes on the palate, but oddly a red fruit character so slightly tonight, like strawberry but not strawberry all at the same time, intriguing.
