Gen 5 Wines
Old Vine Lodi Zinfandel
Nice find at Bev Mo. Strong flavor, a little smoky, not too sweet, with an unusual nose.

Apr 6th, 2020Gen 5 got some bonus points, being a Oklahoma boy, like myself I always appreciate someone leaving something better than they found it (as stated on the back of the label). There is a lot going on with this wine, vanilla hints, rather spicy notes, and a weird raspberry/cherry combination. As you know from previous wine reviews I am not experienced with Zinfandels, and usually stick with my Cabs. This is not appealing to me and will take some time coming around to this drink.
