The 2012 is another great example of the reward for patience. The dark fruits of youth are still there but evolving to the dry versions of themselves

House guests gone, it seems like a good time for something good. What a turnaround this has taken! Oak has integrated and it's now a powerful beauty. Dark berries, cherries, plums and a touch of fresh flowers? On the finish. Tannins are moderate and acidity balances the opulence well. One hour decant.

Nov 6th, 2017The wine is being swallowed alive in oak at this point. There was a lot hiding but this needs to integrate better. I'm holding off on anymore for a while.
