2012 vintage. Medium-dark garnet. Light bodied, sweet, with no midrange. Cherry syrup, some strawberry shortcake on the finish. 13.5% ABV. Opened an ‘06 the same night and it was far superior.

2006 vintage. Medium garnet. Pleasant California take on Claret. Raspberry, strawberry, hint of spice box. Not very big or bold, but that may be the age talking here. 13.5% ABV. Opened a 2012 the same night and it wasn’t as nice or as balanced as the ‘06. From the FIL’s collection.

Thin, acidic, somewhat sweet - but not in a good way. Cheap red wine - couldn't even finish 1 glass of it. In a word: Garbage.

Disappointing. I got this in a wine pack and the taste is really just not good at all. Definitely do not recommend -- very acidic.
