The 2009 is definitely improving with age. The tangy and tart notes are blending better and drifting toward a Bordeaux style. I’ll be curious to see what this vintage does with five more years in the bottle.

Tangy and tart. This is a bright and light bodied cab with a medium acid finish. Not much tannin and low alcohol. It is quite drinkable, just don't expect your typical CA cab. It matched well with lamb.

A light, tangy cab with not much but acid in the finish. Cranberry, leather, and white pepper start, followed by tart and smokey cranberry, but it falls off quick at midpoint. Stemmy aftertaste.

A light, tangy cab with lots of cranberry. Its strength is in the acid finish.

Tangy and bright. Cranberry and tart fruit. A light cab with a little too much stem and not enough tannins. Acid in the finish is adequate but not outstanding.

Red Rose Hill cabs, the younger ones (less than ten years) are unique cabs, lighter and tangy but with long finish. They are very drinkable, but do not expect a standard cab experience.
