‘Cowboys Cuvée’ Red wine blend says the label. Pours a dark and stormy red of blood. Smells like wet stones and gauze. B.O. too. Hint something herbal. Flavors are chewy and fresh. Herbal streak. Fresh basil, mint, marjoram, etc. Plenty of tannins. Cherry cola and fresh blackberry too. This is a pretty standard Mertiage type CA fancy red. Checks in at 14.0% ABV so that seems like a mature grape and a long hangtime. Nice stuff. Big, lush and fairly complex. Hint too much spice box and just a bit of the dreaded vanilla oak sauce though. Otherwise excellent stuff.
