Acidic, dry. If you don't let this breathe like it says on the back label, it tastes a lot like alcohol and has an alcoholic burn on the aftertaste. However, after an hour, the this wine really transforms into a really fruity blend of plums and cherries and becomes a pleasure to drink. Still has that alcoholic kick even for a 12.5% ABV wine, but it makes it that more complex. Recommended, especially since it's a steal for just $6
