Fruitiere Vinicole de Voiteur
Cuvée Premium Côtes du Jura Savagnin Ouille
A bit of pear on the nose, lemon too, a tiny bit of wax and chalk lurking in the back. The palate shows as usual a huge acid backbone, this is a wine full of nerves, a good width with a grip, some lemon and pear notes all long. There is a thickness too it which kind of get amplified in mid palate with almost a tannic feel before a very long pear and finish with a slight bitter twist. This is very good.

Mar 6th, 2021There is minerality on the nose with limestone but there is fruit too: pear and lemon. That's a nice nose and it's quite different from the nose of the 2014 a few weeks back. There is a bit of reduction this time. The palate is great with a very strong acid drive, pear and lemon all along, some spice (white pepper?) a good grip, a nice width, and almost a salty touch toward the end. It's a whole different style than the 2014 (which I clearly preferred) but it's very good nevertheless. And once again, what a bargain!
