Restrained sweetness for a Spätlese. Acidity is present, but could be a bit higher. Definitely some reductive rubber notes on the nose. Red apple on the palate. Fleshy and easy drinking. Definitely keeps you coming back for another sip. I wouldn’t put this in the top tier of Riesling I’ve tried, but this a perfectly fine example of a semi-sweet style. Would probably be great with salty cheese or spicy food.
