Owl Hill Vineyard Counoise

Aromas of red fruit, vanilla and a hint of smoke. Flavors of ripe cherry, mingling with strawberry, oak and pipe tobacco on the finish. Medium body, decent acidity - excellent wine.

.... dry, herbal and complimented our aged gruyere rather well.

A bit fruitier than anticipated but balanced. Held up to sous vide ribeye steak. Tart berry with a mild tannic finish that was very pleasant.

Take a dill pickle from a good deli and bash it around in a well-made humidor then set that whole affair in front of a bowl of blackberry conserves. Et voila! Initial impressions. With air, this sheds the dill and cedar and replaces it with wintergreen. Overall a beautiful expression of a difficult and contentious variety. Satisfy your curiosity here; you'll enjoy it.

Honeysuckle & wild strawberry nose, pollen & perfume, quite interesting

Floral nose. Medium light body, a dash of pepper and some currant-like fruits. Very unusual and distinct wine, quite tasty

Floral with a bit of earthy funkiness to it, not as enjoyable as the last time we opened a bottle but still good

Chef recommended at girl and fig in Sonoma - very smooth, light, fruity (berries), mildly sweet
