This Pinot is not overoaked, and so allows more fruit to shine through. It is light bodied, with sour strawberry flavors. There is a lingering acidic tone, which, while unwelcome in a cocktail wine, works well for a food wine. We paired it successfully with a Tuscan style meatball kale soup.

The students of Fresno State continue to craft quality wines. This perennial favorite has soft strawberry and currant fruit, with just a hint of vanilla oak. It went well with pan-fried salmon and couscous.

Light bodied and low on oak, this PN was a great food match for Sriracha salmon.

An excellent food wine, made in the fruit forward California style rather than the smoky French method.

This wine is a light ruby color and medium bodied, fruit-forward and soft with only a touch of oak. It made a fantastic accompaniment to Italian and Asian cuisine.

Props to the students at Fresno State for this very nice California Pinot. I thought it was a bit jammy, but maybe that's your thing. I'd certainly go back for more!
