Croix-Violette Côte de Nuits-Villages Pinot Noir

2011 vintage some earthy cherry fruit some other than fruit aromas a little disjointed hard finish

Slightly candied/honeyed nose, overripe strawberries, fresh cranberries and raspberries. Molasses and herbaceous notes on the nose as well. Some light barnyard notes, charcuterie and spice too. The palate sings more than the nose. Ripe cranberries/ red cherries and dried strawberry fruit. Some red licorice, musty earth/dried herbs and leather notes. Cinnamon and other spices linger. Great wine for the price!

I got this for $19dollars thought it would be a good bet seems prematurely oxidized herbal cranberry little funky stink aromas

Singing pretty well. A little subdued on the nose, dried strawberry, cola, earth/underbrush, hint of sassafras and violets. The palate is broad and delectable. Cherry, wet leaves, med body, bright acid and orange rind. Bought at a discount store for $20. Happy with the purchase :)

2011 vintage. Baking spices and violets on the nose. A silky texture. Not exceptional but a hell of a good value for a Burgundy.
