Fratelli Barale
Le Rose Dolcetto d'Alba
The 2021 Dolcetto d'Alba Le Rose is fresh, delicate and fragrant, all of which make it a fine choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Bright red/purplish fruit, spice and sweet floral notes are nicely pushed forward in this mid-weight, super-classic Dolcetto. A brief stay in oak adds structure. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2022)

Jul 4th, 2018New vintage (2016) that crushes it. This is one of those rare Italian reds that does not need food to balance it all out. Fresh...Fruity...Youthful...Dry--it's all there. And my, what a beautiful color. (ALC 12.5%...so sensible. Best at cellar temp.)

Mar 24th, 2018This was seriously perfect with a medium rare steak and crisp, citrus-y arugula salad. Soft tannins, juicy, delicious.
