My second ever purchase from Fraser back in February 2013. This wine is a blend of the wet difficult 2011 vintage and the excellent 2012 vintage. Unmistakably old vine Barossa Shiraz with Blackberry mocha and a little aniseed finishing with silky silky tannins. Only 1548 bottles filled. This is why Sami-Odi sells out in a matter of weeks every year.

Jun 3rd, 2018Dark crimson- almost purple. Ripe rich and decadent- berry and spice with supple silky tannins. Obviously the product of old vine Barossa fruit. I think the vintage is a combo of the difficult 2011 and the plentiful and good 2012 vintage. Only 1548 bottles filled.

Jan 3rd, 2017Deep ruby. Superb concentration: bramble, tomato leaf, blackberry cassis, plum jam, white pepper, licorice, vanilla. Structured and firm with medium plus acid - wow. Savory beef broth, bacon fat, cigar. Maraschino cherries. Long fruit driven finish.
