I met this Burgundian wandering 4000 km from its home en route to the equator. I'm glad to have made the acquaintance. Opulent for a medium-bodied Pinot Noir...smoky dried plums, tartly mulled dark cherries and juicy plums with undertones of licorice, white pepper & baking spices. This '08 was ready to drink. Balanced, round and layered. A nice find. I'm doubly glad this bottle wasn't corked considering the weary condition I found it in. :)
