La Brocarde Côte-Rôtie Syrah

So different from most American Syrahs - purity and finesse are the goals from François Villard with his top Côte-Rôtie vineyard. At 19 years it’s beautifully developed, complex, earth, licorice, cherry, smoke, herb and wildflower. A delight to drink

Disclaimer: François and I make wine together under the Terminim brand. Nevertheless this is a breathtaking example produced in micro amounts. Highly recommended.

I can get used to this. Amazing. 🍷👌🏻

Blockbuster. Bacon fat and crushed flowers. Sexy transparent red color. So young, fruit in the palette just waiting to come out. Buy two, drink one, bury the other. Jeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz.

Almost perfect cote rotie. Wow

Very delicate and delicious cote rotie. More pleasurable on the palate than some of the jammier wines from this region

Some barnyard funk mixed with blackberry, heavy geraniums, slightest of lavender, currants, fair amount of oak.. very napa-ish but more complex all over! Not very peppery but floating with some barely noticeable spices.
