This is both dark and light at the same time - almost like if a black currant was trying to wave at you from across a large room, but it was tough to make out. Also, bright acidity.

Bright burgundy color. Deep red fruit, floral nose. Plums and roses (as opposed to Guns and Roses). Tastes like plums wrapped in rose petals. Nice.

Dec 26th, 2015Alsace Pinot. Purity and crispness of Alsace, earthiness of Pinot. Interesting wine with the Baur heritage. Honestly would prefer a white from Baur and a Pinot from Burgundy, but really can't complain. Bright red burgundy color. Bright red fruit on the nose. Cherry, pomegranate. Some decent red berry fruit, mushroom, and then a smooth finish. Would like to have seen a bit more acidity, other than that...
