So I opened this yesterday and used it to make a sauce for roasted leg of lamb. Decided to give it a try before dumping it out today (it was a gift bottle from last year) and I was very pleasantly surprised. Not the most complex animal but very nice black cherry fruit and cedar. Really nice acidity. Good reminder that you don’t have to spend three figures on a bottle of Cab every time (even though I want to).

Deep, intense plummy and big mix of red berries, quite balanced and bracing aroma, easy on palette medium plus tanning and clean aftertaste.
