A nice, smooth, restrained Syrah - certainly not on the level of Inglenook RC but still much better that the reviews here may indicate.

Dec 23rd, 2017Less than inspiring, but certainly better than the pair 83s it received from WS and WE. A blend of 32% Syrah, 18% Petite Verdot, 17% Cab Franc, 14% Petite Sirah, and 2% other varietals, and from Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, and Knights Valley. Presented with facade of earth and game notes, but has core of a rich, dark fruit, and oak influences. The style is both classic and unique, but seems limited by the short yet snappy finish.
