I discovered cool red and blue fruits hiding behind a ridge of earthy tannins that produced a wine of charming rusticity. More time in the bottle may have allowed the fruit to emerge even more, but nevertheless it didn't quite measure up to my expectations. A fine, modern example of genuine old-world winemaking, however. 40% Bovale sardo, 30% Cannonau, 30% Monica. 10/20/22.
