Meritage Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend

The 2007 vintage of FOURTEEN is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot from all fourteen sub-appellations within the Napa Valley. This wine combines elegant aromas of ripe bing cherries and blackberries with the richness of roasted vanilla and mocha. This is a complex and layered wine, firm tannin structure, moderately dry but plenty of darker fruit and a lasting finish. Enjoy with a nice filet mignon. This wine is reflective of the vintage and is age worthy.

So good and yet so young tasting! It's an '05 and has plenty of time left! This was very drinkable but very easily could lay down another decade and some.

2005 Fourteen Appellations. Excellent, drinking beautifully. Elegant Bordeaux style, well restrained and blended for Napa. Great wine, sorry to see the last of it go!
