Good fruit, not overly jammy. Plum, cherry. A bit of oak, well balanced. Not too hot. Velvety tannins, not without structure. Overall, pretty darn delicious.

A really delightful wine, lots of fruit, no noticeable heat. Perfect with the gumbo. 2010 vintage.

Blackberry, smoked leather, black cherry, toasty oak. The body shows tight smoked blackberry jams on overdone toast. The finish is huge spice, blackberry flesh and some black currant with nice oak. Needs time to open up. 45 minutes in my opinion.

Deep inky purple in color. Menthol, butter, blackberry and briar notes in nose. Strawberry, blackberry, black currant, prune, green pepper, bell pepper and phenol-cough syrup notes in mouth. Warm finish, complex flavor profile, tending to big ripe Zin style, but not quite there in terms of ethanol. A fun wine to nurse over an hour or two
