Foris Vineyards
Southern Oregon Pinot Blanc
Solid Oregon Pinot Blanc from Foris. Quite dry, medium (+) acid, body is medium to medium (+). Would guess stainless fermentation with malolactic and light lees treatment if I had to take a stab at vinification method. Nose leads with a nice saline, crushed oyster shell, and subtle yeasty, leesy vibe which follows on the palate and is joined with lemon zest and some slightly underripe orchard fruit. Somewhat reminiscent of decent sur lie Muscadet albeit a bit rounder and more weighty and not quite as crisp and refreshing (although still decently refreshing in its own right). Not bad at all.
