The Columbia Valley Merlot is a blend of 91% Merlot, 5% Malbec & 4% Petit Verdot. On the nose, loads of blue fruits, blackberries, dark cherry, black plum, soft spices, loamy soil and violets. Body is medium and the tannins are M+. Fresh, ripe, blueberries, blackberries, dark cherry, medium spice, clove, nutmeg, hint of vanilla, soft leather, dry crushed rocks, violet, very nice acidity and a round finish that's easy to drink young.

Straight forward compared to previous years #merlot. Took time to open, much less elegant than i remember.
Good density, boysenberry fruit and smooth with good acid. Nose is lacking. An exception year for Marie.

Incredibly deep, rich complexity. Dark fruit, black pepper, oak, leather, tobacco, cinnamon, orange peel, dried fruits...on and on! The arrival is full bodied and mouth-coating with a long tannic finish.
