Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

I really like this. Its a bruiser, but doesn't feel over ripe. There are tar, tobacco, black cherry and citrus peel flavors . then the mouthfeel is rustic with medium but slightly grainy tannins. This in a good way. Great with an earthy rigatoni with Brussels sprouts.
Kind of an old school Carignan Petit Sirah blend but with more fruits.

Geur rood fruit; zwarte bessen; cassis; gebrande koffie
Veel tannine; heeft tijd nodig; strak in de mond. Kleur donkerrood. Loopt traag langs het glas.
