Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

After drinking a dozen bud lights this cab is fucking primo. Bachelor parties are not the time to drink nice pinots

Delectable pulls the Pinot Gris with photo of this bottle but reviews seem to be for the cab, this review is for the cab. Very good, smooth with great flavor. Will buy again

A delicious and surprisingly sophisticated CS with bright cherry flavors and thick bready tannic structure. The smooth finish has lots of lingering complexity.

Jan 14th, 2015Girlfriend was in the mood for "something oaky" and though neither of us remember buying this bottle, we had it. The nose does have oak, but also a faintly floral element to it as well. Overripe red fruits are present too, while the palate is thin with tobacco and dried herbs. Not a very classic representation of a cab, thus my rating of it.

Apr 25th, 2014Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of cassis, cedar, and graphite on the nose; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of blackberries, black cherries, eucalyptus, and wet gravel with a medium finish. This wine is intense and complex, but a little too tannic and bitter for the amount of fruit (it probably needs more age, or more time in the decanter). After 30 minutes in a decanter, this wine is much more balanced and well integrated. Overall, I rate this wine as very good.

Oct 11th, 2025👍🏼I was at a liquor store seeing all of the standard go tos in the 20-30 range. I wanted to try something different. Thinking to skip the “well known” brands in hopes that something not known in the same category my offer more. And it’s true. This has the spice I love, not overly grapey. Will definitely be on my list to purchase again.
