Ahh WA I miss you! This Flor Marché 2017 Grenache was in the latest #thetcwineclub box. It’s Swan Valley fruit, which has been transported to the Margaret River to be crafted into one helluva gorgeous bottle of red by winemaker Elizabeth Reed.
Some quick stats:
- 60 year old dry grown vines
- Handpicked grapes
- Naturally fermented
- No fining
On the eye it’s a scarlet red colour. Fresh raspberry, leather books and a good pinch of spice entice the nostrils. While in the mouth it’s juicy and fruit forward with sweet cherries 🍒 and strawberries coming through for me alongside a hint of orange citrus and a nice kick of spice. It went down a treat with our creamy homemade butter chicken curry 🍛!
