A nice Chard with pear, apple and some honey. I did not think it was a typical buttery Chardonnay and not a strong presence of oak. Enjoyed with pan seared chicken and orzo pasta. Another one of my WSJ wines given as a gift. As a 30 yr veteran I say fly that flag. Enjoy!

Notes of lemon apple and honey to the nose. Smooth ripe orchard fruit with a hint of vanilla mid palette with a long finish.

100% Chardonnay
Clear, medium straw yellow

Aromas of Asian pear, golden apple, butter shortbread. Quite obvious California chardonnay nose.

Medium low acidity, medium to medium plus body. Similar fruit profile to the nose. Quite flat, although it should be commended for balanced and integrated oak notes of slight butter popcorn and vanilla extract. Round and smooth. Alcohol not sticking out (13.5 abv).

This is a simple quaff that screams California, although one of my wine pet peeves is a flat, and bland wine with low acidity. 82

Very buttery and peachy taste. Very much a "new world" wine, but in a good way. This would be good with salmon or most heavy and dense fish.
