Haven't tasted this in years. Couldn't resist for $14.99 and WS 92 rating.
For the price, we were impressed. Worth every cent. Good fruit profile with bright acidity and 14.5% abv. Another 12 months in the bottle will take this to a better place. But for $15, why wait?

Raspberry, black licorice, sarsaparilla, hints of underbrush. Smooth, slurpy, delicious. Great QPR.

Cherry and black cherry fruit, with chocolate and a little tobacco. Acidity is moderate and tannins are medium to weak. This was very pleasant and easy drinking, but also not very complex.

Immediate chocolate and plum hit. Slowly seeps in to a dark berry and dry spice with a lingering that's almost oily. Beautiful complexity
