Asked my local wine store dude for the funkiest wine he likes, under 20$, & it was this Monastrell from Spain. Some donkey on the entry but the attack is all iron & blood- ok, bloody iron ingots found in a butcher shop. Serious minerality, very broad, which is to say its kinda simple.

Very Simple but very satisfying 100% Monastrell. 14.5% alcohol which I usually avoid but here it works.
