A hand selected seven barrel Pinot blend! The color on this is medium Ruby with cherry and cranberry aromas as well as some clay. More cherry on the fore-pallet plus bright acidity, some damp earth, and an iron feel. The barrel blend certainly gives this pinot a deep complexity which is very unusual for Pinot (the blend that is); yet the blend seems to work in the bottle and more so in the glass. Great wine tasting experience, for sure, this is one I’ll remember for a while.
