A tough transition from a Rioja Alta prior to this bottle, but after a few sips I adjusted and found this uniquely intriguing and tasty. The first sips were jarring and tasted of clay aromas, but it aired out a bit and went down without a problem. Others enjoyed it as well at the gathering.
