Big rich earthy plummy nose, this one's definitely seen a barrel. On the palate it's a medium plus body (definitely got a bit of weight), with rich spicy earthy chocolatey tones leading to some surprising acidity (it's an Italian wine after all). The finish is correspondingly refreshing after the richer nose and palate, closing out with juicy cherry and earthy/herb bitterness. Not bad for 7€, enjoyable.
