Samorëns Côtes du Rhône White Rhone Blend
Smooth and juicy, in line with a cotes du Rhone Syrah. Tasty.

Mar 17th, 2023With a sweet and silky nose, the wine splashes over the tongue reminiscent of the first and sudden plunge into a frigid ocean. However, this Cotes Du Rhone is excessively sweet, oh my, no no. Perhaps I've had an overly dry day or over-chilled the bottle, but this faux sangria does not hit the spot at night time. Would not drink again unless under duress.
Update: considerably better warm. Even keeping in mind that any alcohol is a close comfort after repeated 18 hour work days.

Jun 26th, 2018Ended up with a case. Moderate and dry; intended to be a spring white, but we've had only alternating summer and winter. Still, more robust that most whites, without being oily, cloying, or otherwise overwhelming. More for pairing than poolside.
