Ferllen Winery
Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Inky in color with a purplish rim.
Light nose of blueberries, blackberries, plums, cherries, earth, wood, licorice, vegetables, pencil lead, tar, dark coffee, peppercorn and spices.
Full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Tart on the attack and dry on the palate, with plums, strawberries, cherries, red currants, earth, forest floor, smoke, green pepper, peppercorn, licorice, oak, spices, chocolates and tobacco.
Medium plus in finish with firm, green tannins and black pepper.
This is a simple Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, Argentina. Still young and would be better in a year or two.
Right now, it is missing some balance.
Good by itself, but better with food like BBQ Meats.
Needs 60 minutes of airtime to open up.
I paired it with Argentinian blood sausage.
Grapes are grown at 2,200 feet of elevation in the Uco Valley, at the foot hills of the Andes Mountains.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
