Night and day between this and Trader Joe's comparably priced 2012 Paso Robles Zinfandel. Nobody will mistake this for a pricey wine, but it's well balanced with both enough fruit and an earthy backbone. Light tannins and just enough acidity. Dare I say it even has some character? 2012 vintage. I gave this a few minutes of air and chilled it a bit, which served it well.
