Used it to marinate some Wild Boar. Worked well. Drank a bit of what was left over. Not as bad as I heard.

Just ok, fruity, tart at first, then mellows out some. 2012.

Light bodied, lightly dry, little acidity. Leathery with notes of vanilla and caramel. Delicious

This is a very dark and watery wine.  By “watery” I mean “thin bodied”.  The nose is light (not “fruit forward at all”) with notes of leather and caramel.  I’m getting a sour black licorice thing going on the palate…it’s drying my tongue out and going down peppery…not like a Cab Franc peppery either…this one is a little acrid in the throat reaching up to the nose.  It’s not a terrible wine, but it’s not a Super Tuscan either.  Quaffable, yes…would I buy it again?  Sure…but it would be better with food…specifically sharp cheese and/or pasta sauce.

Interesting flavor in this Sangiovese. Smooth but bold...notes of black/green olive. Might need to breathe a little.
