A nicely made Bugey, but lacking in that special sense of spicy fruit that I prefer from the best of them. Undoubtably drinkable, but maybe a little too much age for this bottling.

Acidic and tannic..black tea, cherry, licorice, tobacco, earthy..first time drinking this grape. I am enjoying it with Mount Enebro Spanish goat cheese.
