Aug 5th, 2016Appears to be a deep garnet color, inky and opaque. On the nose aromas of cherry pie crust, vanilla and black cherry exist but fade readily. Hot on the nose as the first sip is taken. On the tongue tart berry flashes. With acid levels slow to rise, medium-light tannins and a semi-astringent medium body lead to a quick chalky finish. Leaves me wanting substance. Vintage 2015.
