No notes, but Alpine wine is a cat nip for me, so I went in biased & (predictably) came out happy. Valle D’Aoste Riesling with some bottle age. Rounded, golden, & goddamn good. White flowers in sunshine + de-sweetened lemon curd. Has some texture too. At 15$ another crazy Eddie (For anyone who grew up in NYC in the 70’s, that’s for you) value.

An Alto Adige Riesling, with some age. Bonkers concentration. Familiar petrol & peach on the nose, but less German or Alsatian acidity & more Italian rounded contours- though that could be the age too. Just enough RS. Perhaps the only tell of its 15$ pedigree is a simple mid palate. Still, some length,& enough acidity to make it lip smacking killer good. Crazy Eddie (for old NYCers who remember the stores’ ads) INSANE bargain.
