F2 Wines Falconiere Cabernet Franc 2017 Los Olivos District, California
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
On the nose cherries, blueberries, spices, light wood, earth, vegetables, licorice, cardamom, wild flowers and black pepper. Very aromatic.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, sweet strawberries, raspberries, spices, earth, dark coffee, light vegetables and black pepper.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice Cabernet Franc from Los Olivos District in California. Tangy, interesting and spicy.
I let it open up for 2 hours, but I didn't see a big difference.
This Single Vineyard will need a couple of years in the bottle to mature, but already tasty now.
High in alcohol, but not noticeable, so watch out. A nice food wine. I paired it with meats and cheeses.
Aged for 30 months in neutral French Oak barrels. A small production of only 200 cases.
