Before the ill-fated 08' Dom incident. A bottle from the in-law's cellar and as I understand, locally procured... So colour me surprised when it poured out without even the slighest a tinge of brown. Perhaps there's hope after all for wines available in my hometown... Or perhaps I just struck gold in a sea of heat-damaged, light-struck wines... Or perhaps it's the golden combination of a "million-litre" production sulphur regime and Stelvin-sealed bottling. Whatever the case is, this was a rather pleasant experience - soft, mellowed out Shiraz fruits with heaps of pepper and meat. Not overly complex, but hits all the right notes.
