Not much going on here. Not a good wine. I wanted to try this unusual grape but it was not a good wine grape.

This wine was made from an obscure grape called Bequignol; it is native to southern France but has made its way to Argentina, not dissimilar to the journey made by the grape Malbec. This bottling was fresh and vivacious, with notes of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, and some spice coming to the fore. 100% Bequignol. 6/15/23.

Not sure how to rate this wine but it’s soooo good. So drinkable. So interesting. But so refreshing. I love it...and know nothing about the grape 🤪

Nice ripe fruit like cherry and raspberry. Nice acidity. A little earthy. This is a perfect summer red.
