Dark color for a Pinot, nose of plums and black cherry, fairly simple but enjoyable. The balance is slightly to the fruit side but that is typical of 2012. Wishing for more complexity but not realistic at this price point.

Excellent with grape leaves, surprisingly. It's nice to come back to Boston, my home town, where my intense Burgundian/champenois wine snobbery abates momentarily...

Luscious raspberries, dark cherries and spice! Really well balanced with great Earthy tones. Excellent long finish!

Pours light red in color. A blast of raspberry followed by strawberry. Earthy notes and subtle vanilla in the aromas. Velvet on the tongue. Tar and berry, but not as definitive as in the nose, highlight the flavors.

Great color, ripe cherries and strawberries. Great acidity and touch of oak.

Smooth, easy Pinot Noir. Nice bright cherries, not too sweet either

There is an obvious heavier-hand of winemaking here, but if you're going to try New World pinot noir it might as well be from Oregon. An historic producer, although a bit more complexity might be welcomed even the entry level.
