This Blanco De Le La Cased is a blend of 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillion and 20% Chardonnay. It’s dry farmed and makes for a heady food wine.

I didn’t get to spend enough time tasting wine with their very knowledgeable and creative family Winemaker Matias. He & his sister wanted us to taste all 22 of their wines. Unfortunately, we had another appointment However, I really enjoyed meeting him and taking about his wine philosophies. We spent a fair amount of time with his sister Verónica walking their vineyards before tasting. It’s was a very revealing time with her as well. She is very knowledgeable, passionate about wine and a true sweetheart.

Their Bodega is located in Las Compuertas (1100 meters above sea level). It is the highest area of Lujan de Cuyo, where they have 20 hectares of ungrafted old vineyards.

On the nose; white citrus, melon, lemon, pineapple, green apple & white fruit blossoms.

On the palate; macerated lemon, pineapple, lime, melon, nice chalkiness, light, grippy volcanic minerals, beautiful acidity, yellow and white flowers.

Photos of; creative wine labels, their retro artist driven tasting lounge and the road signage for their Bodega.
