Another disappointing Schönleber in our line-up. The 19’ Halenberg came off a bit too fat and sweet for my liking. Candied fruits dominated, with spices, herbs, and ginger sprinkled in. Air did help with drinkability, bringing to light more elegant mineral notes. The length and concentration was impressive though.

‘19s are finally ready to rock in my humble opinion. Always a banger. How do you describe Riesling to a noob? Massive acidity and minerality. But in a good way. Lemon, pineapple, petrol, maripan notes. But in a good way. You know what? Don’t bother. More for us german freaks.
