Les Cailloux Côte de Brouilly Gamay
Terrific BoJo, especially for a 15. Lively nose has cracked stone and tangy, slightly feral berry fruit. Zingy on the palate, with upfront cherry fruit that turns quickly minerally. Lean and linear, with surprisingly good acids. I will have to try more from this producer. Great value.

Dec 17th, 2018One point Higher than before for the exercise in restraint on a warm year. An excellent case buy for burgundy buyers on a budget.

Oct 26th, 2018Raspberry, Rainier cherry, and rose aromas and flavors, with bramble on the finish. Beautiful with a wide range of cheeses and spicy charcuterie. Versatile, at 13%ABV, easy to enjoy.

Sep 29th, 2019Tasty cru Beaujolais for just over a 10 spot. Remarkable value. Silky, balanced, red and black fruits.

Sep 17th, 2019Complex red berry aromas and flavors, like a mix of dried a fresh together, with just a little spice and herbs mixed in. Low tannins but enough acidity. This is not a fresh fruit bomb, and it’s more restrained than a lot of Beaujolais. The complexity gives it good value at the price.
