Eminence Road Farm Winery
Elizabeth's Vineyard Dry Pinot Noir

I'd love to make fun of this, but New York does have terroir. In this case very good terroir. Great balance of earth, fruit, and structure. Rebuy.

A very pleasant surprise! Pure, perfumed, sensual, fresh and balanced. Vibrant bright fruit, roses, and minerals, gaining in amplitude on day 2. Like if a Fleurie and a Chambolle had a baby in upstate NY slate. Born in slate, not conceived. Or I don't know, maybe both. Basically it's really good. I'll stop now.

Not as successful as the Cab Franc / Merlot blend from 2012 (this one lost a bit of structure after about 45 minutes, slipped toward all booze), still a valiant effort. The second glass was perfect.
