I'd love to make fun of this, but New York does have terroir. In this case very good terroir. Great balance of earth, fruit, and structure. Rebuy.

A very pleasant surprise! Pure, perfumed, sensual, fresh and balanced. Vibrant bright fruit, roses, and minerals, gaining in amplitude on day 2. Like if a Fleurie and a Chambolle had a baby in upstate NY slate. Born in slate, not conceived. Or I don't know, maybe both. Basically it's really good. I'll stop now.

Smell is fresh sorrel, cranberry, lavender, color is rusty ruby red, flavor is chalky and cranberry, leather, oak, and green grape, acid comes at finish with a tannin cover up
