Nice mid-weight cab

2009 Special Selection. Singing.

Everything was in balance. I would score this higher but after a hours time the fruit turned a bit to taste like raisins.

Tart summer berries, spicy mint, ground black pepper, faint notes of melty tar and Dr. Pepper on the nose. Soft and juicy summer berry again with subtle notes of leather, tobacco spice, hints of maraschino on the finish. Not overly polished, thin legs, give it a nice refreshing mouthfeel for a Napa cab.

Very nice ending of the evening. Bold.

Surprisingly approachable but would put this away for a while. Black berry and currant. Cinnamon, florals and some Forrest floor.

Drank over dinner with several other fine wines. Elegant wine with restrained power. Very floral with classic cassis and black cherry. With time started to pick up more chocolate and spice. Penetrating aromas matches with wonderful mouth feel and lasting finish. Fantastic

Very floral with bright red fruit and the usual Black Cat elegance. It became more and more expressive as it sat in the decanter. 2011 vintage
